Safety tips during a power outage for your food and water

Many parts of Chicagoland are going into a second day without electricity on Tuesday. Even if your power is has come back (as mine did a few hours ago), you need to be concerned with the food in your refrigerator and your water purification system. Follow these tips from the Lake County Health Department:

m.a.c. Pilates for Kids in Lincoln Park

We’ve all heard of the alarming rise in childhood obesity, and to help counteract this growing trend of inactive and unfit children, Harmony Mind Body Fitness in Lincoln Park offers a special four week summer workshop called m.a.c. Pilates for Kids.

The m.a.c. Pilates for Kids workshop is designed for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 10 and incorporates Pilates, games and improvisational exercise to build strength, confidence, and awareness.
